A definite plus - in an apartment with an electric stove, a socket is located in the kitchen, ideally suited for a washing machine. But it is possible that you will have to choose between washing and cooking, because at the same time it is unlikely to succeed.

Hallway

Inhabitants of small apartments often choose a hall for installing a washing machine:

• space in this room is usually enough;
• other household appliances are most often not nearby;
• making grounding here is even easier than in a bathroom or kitchen.

“Undressing” the unit

You have already removed part of the packaging as soon as the car was brought to your home. Now we need to remove all the fasteners that are always installed so that the machine does not break during transportation:

• bolts
• bars;
• staples;
• parts that hold the rotating parts of the unit.

What and what to do:

• When you unscrew the bolts - do not be surprised and do not be afraid that the tank is held only by springs. It should be so. Close the plugs into the holes where the bolts were screwed - they are included.
• On the back of the unit you will see metal staples. They exist so that the hose and cord do not dangle during transport. In addition, they provide packaging rigidity. The brackets must be removed.
• Between the unit body and the tank you will find bars. You can remove them without any effort - just tilt the car forward a little.

Important! Do not discard bolts, staples or bars! Pack them and hide them - you may need them if you have to contact a service center.

How to connect a washing machine to the water supply in the bathroom?

You can connect the washing machine to the water supply in several ways:

• with a crimp sleeve;
• using fitting;
• using a tee.

Basic connection requirements:

The choice of connection method for the washing machine depends on the specific conditions. Two requirements must be considered:

• Water pressure. The water pressure in an ordinary city water supply is 1 atmosphere, and this is enough for a car. If the pressure is still lower, an additional boost pump will have to be installed.
• Water quality. Water should be clean and as soft as possible. This, of course, does not depend on you, but if suddenly tap water causes you to suspect - use additional strainers, and when washing - softeners.

Hose

In addition to tools, a water inlet hose is needed to connect to the water supply. It is included in the kit, but it may turn out to be too short (for example, when you put the unit in the corridor, at too great a distance from the pipes). It doesn’t make sense to increase it; it’s better to buy a genuine hose - this can be done in any hardware store.

Connection via crimp sleeve

This option is suitable for a metal pipe. The coupling consists of two parts. They are put on the pipe and tightened with bolts. She has a thread on which the crane is placed.

To do this, you need a flexible hose with a diameter of ¾ inch:

1. Connect one end to the washing machine.
2. Attach the valve to the second end - it will need to be cut into the pipe.
3. Fit the crimp sleeve.
4. Drill holes in the pipe for water flow through the mounted sleeve.

Important! A ball valve is more suitable for this design.

Connection using a fitting

For pipes made of metal-plastic, the coupling is not suitable. In this case, it is better to connect the washing machine with the help of a fitting, that is, a special tee:

1. Cut the pipe section in the right place.
2. Insert fitting.
3. Put the ball valve.
4. At the joints, install rubber cuffs.

Connection via a tee

This is perhaps the easiest way to connect to the water supply, but you need a rather long hose. Embed nothing. The unit is connected to the mixer or to the inlet of the drain tank.

Important! The main disadvantage of this method is that before each wash, the hose will have to be removed every time. Connection to the drain tank is possible if the bathroom is combined and the car is in this room.

If there is no running water

But what about in the country, where you have to carry water from the well? Absolutely abandon the washing machine? Take your time:

1. Get a large water tank.
2. Make a hole in the bottom.
3. Connect the hose to the hole.
4. Install the tank at a height of at least 1 m so that there is a drop.
5. Connect the other end of the hose to the inlet of the machine.

Important! The tank is filled with water, which is then poured into the car, and if you make a pump so that you do not have to carry water with buckets from the well, it will be very good.

Connection to the sewerage

Connecting the washing machine to the water supply is not all. Water after washing should go somewhere, and preferably not on the floor. There are several options for connecting to the sewer:

• flush to the toilet or bath;
• drain through a siphon;
• drain directly into the pipe.

In this case, you do not need to connect anything, the water is simply drained into the bathtub or toilet bowl using a special “hook” hose. Water will flow out only if the top of the hose is 60 cm above the washing machine. It is easy to ensure this - there is a special mount for this.

Through the siphon

You can make a permanent drain, which will require a special siphon with an extra tap. In plumbing stores, it’s not difficult to buy one. The siphon is installed above the siphon knee. Otherwise, dirty water will get into the car. The same thing happens if you connect the unit to the sewer without any siphon.

Through the pipe

This option is suitable for pipes with a diameter of 4-5 cm:

• A curved hose (in the form of the letter S) is inserted into the pipe so that its end does not fall into the sewage.
• At the same time, a special bend is placed on the pipe.
• The other end of the hose should be 50 cm above the floor.

We connect to electricity

Without electricity, a modern car will not work. For normal operation of the unit, a voltage of 220 V and a frequency of 50 Hz are needed.

Important! Keep in mind that there is always residual voltage in the unit, so if the washing machine is not connected correctly, you can get an electric shock - both from the machine body and from the water.

Grounding is important

To avoid unpleasant and even tragic consequences, make grounding. It is necessary to ground the distribution board (in modern homes this was done during construction), and also use a three-wire outlet.

Park the machine straight

For the machine to work well, it must be level and stable. The unit is quite heavy, so there should not be any supports, gaskets and the like. The only exception is a thin rubber rug on the tiled floor, and it serves not to align, but to prevent the legs from slipping.

Important! The height of the legs of modern machines is perfectly adjustable - they can simply be tightened up and checked with a building level.

We are testing

After the machine is installed and connected, you need to try it in work:

1. Fill the tank with water - the filling time must be noted.
2. Check how much the filling time of the tank corresponds to what is written in the passport.
3. Pay attention to leaks - if there is, drain the water and eliminate the cause.
4. If there are no leaks, turn on the machine.
5. Check how long the water warms up to the set temperature.
6. Listen to the unit for suspicious sounds.
